Tariffs will impact Hardsurface products sold at Hopkins Carpet One. Along with Carpet imported into the U.S
Update 4/10/2025:
As you may be aware, the U.S. announced reciprocal tariffs on approximately 180 countries effective at midnight, April 9, 2025. Before the tariffs were fully implemented, a postponement of 90 days was announced with respect to the reciprocal tariff rate, but the U.S. further imposed a minimum 10% tariff during this 90-day period.
Products traded between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada that are USMCA compliant will continue to be traded without any incremental tariffs notwithstanding tariffs imposed by both Canada and the U.S. on certain categories of products. As of this date, the retaliatory tariffs imposed by Canada on certain flooring categories (25%) effective March 4, 2025, remain in effect. Several communications from U.S. suppliers have been forwarded to Canadian members with respect to their specific tariff surcharge.

Mannington Update 5/16/2025
These tariffs were implemented on April 5th, 2025
These cost increases can no longer be absorbed and as a result, Mannington is announcing a price increase of 6-8% on orders of imported LVT products placed on or after July 1st, 2025. This increase will also apply to select Mannington sundries.
Mannington Adura Flex is produced in the USA and is not subject to these tariffs. The Mannington Restoration Collection and all Mannington Hardwood products are currently exempt from this universal tariff and will not increase in price.
Cali Update 5/16/2025:
To continue meeting that standard in the face of rising cost pressures and ongoing tariffs, CALI will be implementing a price increase of 10% on selected products, effective June 16, 2025, for all orders and shipments. This adjustment will help ensure we can continue supporting your business with consistency and care.
Stanton Update 5/14/2025:
On April 22nd we announced a price increase effective May 19th addressing the near-term impact of recent tariffs and to minimize the effect on your day to day business. On May 12th, we received the favorable news that reciprocal tariffs on China were temporarily lowered (90 day pause) from 145% to 30%. Therefore, we are adjusting our originally intended May 19th prices for China based carpet products to an average increase of 10%, down from the previously scheduled 25% average. Stanton will be absorbing the majority to minimize impact to you. In addition we have extended the effective date to May 21st for all new soft & hard surface orders.
Previously Announced Impact on Prices based on current tariffs
All other soft surface carpet will increase an average of 6.5%. Rigid Core WPC, SPC, and Flex LVT will increase an average of 4%. Please note there will be no increase for laminate and hardwood products.
Effective Dates
These tariff-based price increases will be effective with orders placed as of May 21st
Engineered Floors Update 5/8/2025:
10% tariff on imported goods from almost every foreign country took effect On April 5th. Consequently, we will be implementing an 8% price increase on all internationally sourced products, effective with new orders beginning Monday, June 2nd and shipments on Monday, June 16th .
Despite the ever-changing international trade landscape, we are pleased to offer a wide variety of domestic flooring solutions that are not impacted by these tariffs. At this time, pricing on Dream Weaver Carpet, Pentz Broadloom and Carpet Tile, and PureGrain™ High-Def LVP will remain unchanged.
Karndean Update 5/6/2025:
A pricing increase will take effect on
All new orders placed June 2 or later
Allorders that ship after June 9th or later
Dal Tile Update 5/2/2025:
While the majority of Dal-Tile products are proudly manufactured in North America, a portion of our portfolio is sourced internationally. In light of recently announced government tariffs on imports outside of North America, we will be implementing a price adjustment on select affected products.
These pricing changes will apply to impacted new orders effective June 2, 2025. To retain current pricing, orders must be placed by June 2, 2025 and ship no later than June 27,2025.
Mohawk Update 5/2/2025
On April 9, the Trump administration announced a 90-day pause on the reciprocal tariffs but not on the 10% global tariff. While we are pleased that the initial tariff risks have been delayed for now, our industry is still faced with ongoing exposure.
We have monitored the situation closely over the past two weeks and have determined that the global tariff will likely remain in effect indefinitely. Therefore, we will be implementing a price increase of 8% on all imported products effective May 12. Orders entered prior to this date will not be subject to the increase but must ship when available.
Fortunately, most of our product offering is not affected by the recent tariffs. Pricing for all domestically manufactured products, including broadloom, carpet tile, LVT, , laminate, and wall base will not change.
Stanton Update 4/22/2025:
Impact on Prices based on current tariffs
The majority of soft surface carpet will increase an average of 6.5%. The only exceptions include a small percent of soft surface products from China. We recognize the current 145% tariff on China-based products would make them too expensive. With that in mind, these products will increase an average of 25% with Stanton absorbing the majority to minimize the impact on you and your customers. Rigid Core WPC, SPC, and Flex LVT will increase an average of 4%. Please note there will be no increase for laminate and hardwood products
Effective Dates
These tariff-based price increases will be effective with orders placed as of May 19th.
Future Adjustments
We understand that tariffs may change. As changes occur, we will adjust our prices accordingly. Our team is working diligently to mitigate the effects while ensuring we exceed your design, quality, service, and value expectations.
Metropolitan Update 4/10/2025
Following up on our earlier communication this year, we want to provide an update on how we’re navigating the challenges we’re all facing in 2025.
Uncertainty remains high due to several external factors, particularly after the April 2nd announcement of new tariffs ranging from 10% to 50%, scheduled to be imposed on products from multiple countries.
We understand that tariff-related news can be frequent, contradictory, and often unpredictable. Rest assured, we are closely monitoring developments and working in partnership with our vendors to respond thoughtfully and transparently.
Our priority continues to be strengthening our partnership with you through clear and open communication. While it is evident that tariffs will likely be implemented, the full scope and impact are still being determined.
Once the final details are confirmed, we will communicate how this will affect our pricing. At that time, any adjustments will be introduced as a surcharge, allowing us to align with fluctuating tariff rates while maintaining price transparency.
Given the volatile nature of this situation, we anticipate continued changes. We are committed to keeping you informed and will provide updates as needed.
Dalyn Rug Update 4/8/2025
We want to take a moment to address the announced tariffs and how we’re working around the clock to minimize any impact to you. We are working with our suppliers and optimizing our operations to minimize any changes.
We do not plan on any price increases for the next 30 days, as we continue to assess the situation. Meanwhile, we will continue to deliver the best quality and service that you’ve come to expect from us.
Mohawk update 4/4/2025:
As you may be aware, the recent implementation of tariffs on imported finished goods and raw materials have significantly impacted the cost structure within our industry. We are in the process of calculating what the final impact of these changes will be, and plan to share those details as soon as possible.
As of today, we estimate that price increases of approximately 20% to 35% will be applied to our hard surface products, and increases of 3% to 7% will be applied to our soft surface products when these changes go into effect.
Here’s what we do know April 2025:
We will continue to gather additional information and consult with our suppliers. As we gather more information, we’ll pass any news through. We anticipate providing regular updates over the next couple of weeks and months.
